We are a medium operator and user of gliders with a fleet of 9 Slocum gliders. We have been using gliders since 2006 and continue to develop new projects with interesting applications and use cases of this technology. Currently we are engaged in a variety of science projects in the Newfoundland Shelf, the Labrador Sea and the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Previously we have also operated glider missions in the Pacific. We are keen on expanding the use of this technology and foster partnerships with new users.
Missions
We have been all around the island of Newfoundland and in much of the Labrador cost and Labrador Sea. As such we are well versed in dealing with all sorts of weather extremes, challenging topography and currents. We do everything from short day missions to deployments lasting half a year or longer.
Gliders
We have a fleet of 9 Slocum Gliders from Teledyne Webb Research. Almost all of these gliders are all equipped with Oxygen and CTD sensors. We also can add other sensors depending on the mission profile and needs.
Services
We are an experienced glider operator with unique capabilities and know-how from years of working in some of the harshest environments on the planet. Don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss your project needs and how we can be of help.
